For this month’s Alfa member interview, we talked to Davide Brumana from Milan, Italy. We discussed the course of his career so far, the versatility of the logistics industry and giving his clients the best possible service.

How did you get started in the logistics industry and what has your journey been like so far?

In 2018, we successfully accomplished our biggest project in Jordan “Attarat Power Project”, In 2020 we moved the largest object ever to be transported inside of Jordan, 2022 was our “Arab Potash Co.” project where we handled Transportation and Customs Clearance, and Many more.

How do you set yourself apart from your competitors?

We always try to focus on niche markets where we are stronger and well introduced, giving a tailor made service to our customer. We dedicate a specific sales/operational staff for a cluster of clients so that all client’s need are known even before starting a new shipment.

What do you like most about the industry and your job in particular?

I like the fact that from your office you can “travel” all over the world, that monotony is not known and that everyday there’s something new to learn.

If there is one thing that you could change to the logistics industry, what would it be and why?

I would change the fact that nowadays we’re losing the personal relationship in favour of online way of business.

What do you like the most about being a member of our logistics network?

I like the seriousness of the freight forwarders being part of it, the fact that it is not open to everyone so that you can trust your partners. You know that when there’s a quotation is because there’s real business behind. Unlike with other networks, where you lose time answering thousands of enquiries for nothing.

How do you relax in your free time?

I play football, read and play videogames even if I’m not a child 😊

— Thanks, Davide!
