OOCL announces volume growth of 22.2% in Q4 2020 year-on-year

For the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2020, OOCL’s total volumes were 23.7% up from the same period last year. Total revenues increased by 51.2% to $2,423 million. Loadable capacity increased by 17.5%. The overall load factor was 4.6% higher than the same period in 2019.

Overall average revenue per TEU increased by 22.2% compared to the fourth quarter of last year. Also, for the year ended December 31, total volumes increased by 7.3% over the same period last year and total revenues recorded 18.9% growth. Loadable capacity increased by 3.7%.

The overall load factor was 2.8% higher than the same period in 2019. Overall average revenue per TEU increased by 10.8% compared to the same period last year, informed a communiqué.
